Vehicle Cameras have integrated the RoadHawk DC-2 Dash Camera into its tracking platform to send real time alerts when a vehicle is involved in an accident.

The RoadHawk DC-2 is a forward facing dash camera offering up to 1080p resolution (scalable to 720p or 480p for longer record times), low light sensor, GPS receiver, G-force sensor, SDXC memory compatibility and image stabilisation. The camera works on a loop recording system, overwriting the oldest files as it records. The camera supports up to 128GB SD Card and @ 480p can store more than 78 hours.

The camera can take both 12 and 24 volt power so is a perfect solution for you commercial fleet.

RoadHawk cameras are designed based on the feedback from customers and are compatible with construction in use regulations for motor vehicles, which ensures that when fitted correctly they are legal to use and will not fail an MOT or leave you contravening VOSA regulations.

Professionally installed…

Our engineers will normally mount the camera behind your rear view mirror and hide the rest of the cables behind the dash of the vehicle where they will be connected to both power supply and also wired into the tracker to enable real time alerts. Most drivers will not see the camera from a normal driving position.

Incidents alerts…

If the camera detects an impact, the camera creates an ‘event’ file and will send a message to our tracker which in turn will send an email the email address stored on the system to notify you that the vehicle has been involved in an accident. Event files are also written to the memory card and will not be overwritten unless they exceed 40% of the capacity of the memory card, at which point the oldest file will be overwritten first. Optionally an alert can be configured on the tracking system to pop up on the screen to alert the user.

Compatibility…

The viewing software supports both MAC and PC operating software. The RoadHawk software shows Video, GPS, Maps, Speed which is all Time / date stamped
